WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO TO THE STUDIO

Creating a tattoo is a unique process, which is why we recommend each of our clients to participate in a free consultation in our studio. Why? Get all the information from professionals before getting a tattoo. In order to make a good and high-quality tattoo, we advise you to perform a number of preparatory activities.

1. Try to formulate and communicate your thought in clear and simple words. So you can decide on the style of tattoo and the right master.

2. Choose a master only by portfolio and only after personal consultation. Choose those works that reflect your style and spirit.

TATTOO TECHNIQUES

Each client of our studio comes with their own wishes and thoughts. We appreciate this individuality, which is why in our studio we have gathered artists with extensive experience who specialize in various tattoo techniques. Our goal is to offer the client a topic that will meet his expectations in 100%. Therefore, we want to tell you about the most popular techniques.

One of the most common styles is realism. Tattoos that are made in this technique resemble a real photo and are distinguished by incredible detail.

Dotwork is a special style of body painting, in which the pattern consists of a large number of dots. The Dotwork style differs from the others in that the main role in it is assigned to very raw ornaments and geometric shapes.

Watercolor tattoos are always colorful, bright, contrasting patterns with soft contours. This tattoo technique gives you the opportunity to convey painting subjects on the body, and flowing colors make the image more unique and unusual. Such tattoos are common among both men and women.

One of the oldest and most multifaceted fields existing today is the technique of old-school tattoos. They usually reflect the wearer’s attitude to life or are designed to inspire confidence in him in times of need, serving as a kind of protective amulet.

Graphic tattoos are most often made in black or red. They are characterized by clarity and lack of semitones. Therefore, even shaded parts are drawn in lines, only of a different thickness. Shading in photos is clear and very visible, soft transitions are avoided.

This is a small part of the techniques and styles that our studio has to offer. Each of our artists is ready to create a unique work of art for you.

THE TATTOO SHOULD BE MADE HYGIENICALLY AND SAFELY

Making a tattoo is not a problem, and getting a tattoo in Gdynia is even easier, because “tattoo artists” without experience and knowledge, wanting to earn as soon as possible, using your ignorance and emotional state, constitute a large part of the market. And the worst thing is that not all masters adhere to banal rules of hygiene. Therefore, to ensure that our clients are safe, our artists always prepare the workplace in their presence.

Before starting work with the client, we sterilize all surfaces in contact with: all tables, stands, sofas, chairs, lamps, tattoo machine, power supply, all tubes with pigment. All consumables (needles, cotton buds and rings, gloves, looms, caps and other consumables) are discarded immediately after use. All disposable tools are disposed of after use. To completely remove any impurities from reusable tools, we place them in an ultrasonic bath filled with a disinfectant solution. Thanks to this, not only the tools are sterilized, but also dirt is removed from the most difficult to reach places.

Then the tools are placed in a furnace with dry heating or in an autoclave. There they are kept for at least an hour and subjected to treatment at a high temperature, usually not less than 175 degrees.

Each sterilized instrument is then placed in separate sterile storage packages.

Remember that it is very important to ensure the safety of both the artist and the person tattooed during the session. Therefore, you should always be very careful when choosing a studio. Our masters use only disposable gloves in their work, which they replace after each subsequent client. Every touch on non-sterile surfaces (phone, door handle, dropped tools, etc.) is accompanied by a change of gloves and sterilization of hands. After the procedure, the safety and quality of the tattoo depends entirely on you. To avoid undesirable consequences or complications, a fresh tattoo should be groomed regularly. We will give you all the recommendations for care.

Of course, we are not able to answer all your questions, because tattooing is a specific process, so we are waiting for you at Machete Tattoo.
